On December 20, a five-member delegation from Lampang Inter-Tech College (LIT) in Thailand, headed by Vice President Dr. Phoom Srisook, visited Hechi University (HCU) for cooperation opportunities in exchange programs. The meeting was held in Room 907 of Gezhi Building. Weiguo He, Vice President of HCU, attended the meeting, accompanied by leaders from School of Foreign Studies (School of International Education) and Office of International Exchange and Affairs of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
Weiguo He warmly welcomed Dr. Phoom Srisook and his delegation, giving a brief introduction to HCU's development history, academic framework, strengths in talent cultivation, and achievements in international exchange and cooperation.In turn, Dr. Phoom Srisook introduced LIT's history, educational philosophy, future growth prospects, and specialized programs in the field of international education. Given the shared characteristics in academic departments and disciplines between the two universities, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions, including short-term exchanges, curriculum development, faculty and student visits, program design, and academic research collaborations. They explored potential avenues for cooperation, aiming to integrate their respective educational strengths and resources for mutual benefits and growth.
During the meeting, the two universities reached a preliminary agreement on collaboration.
