To promote cultural exchanges between China and other countries, deepen international students’ understanding of Chinese cultural connotations, and enhance their practical Chinese language skills, the School of International Education successfully organized the "Chinese Language Workshop for International Students" from March 20 to May 8, 2025. This event was jointly hosted by the School of International Education and the 2023 cohort of the Chinese International Education major at the School of Literature and Media, offering international students a premium platform to fully immerse themselves in the charm of Chinese language and culture.
The workshop adopted a diversified teaching model integrating "language learning + cultural exchange". The Activity was held weekly on Thursdays in Room 601 of Gezhi Building, guided by professional instructors. The program covered practical Chinese language skill training, appreciation of traditional Chinese culture, exchanges on modern and contemporary Chinese culture, and other enriching sessions. Through immersive and interactive learning experiences, the workshop effectively helped international students improve their Chinese proficiency and gain deeper insights into the unique appeal of Chinese culture.
International students expressed that the workshop not only enhanced their language abilities but also broadened their understanding of Chinese culture. It is believed that in their future academic pursuits and daily lives, international students will continue to explore the joys of Chinese language learning and delve deeper into the richness of Chinese culture with heightened enthusiasm and unwavering resolve. The School of International Education will continue to optimize its international student training system and elevate the quality of talent development through more diversified cultural activities.
