School of International Education Holds a Series of Orientation Activities for Fresh International Students Enrolled in the Fall Semester of 2024

School of International Education initiated a series of orientation activities for fresh international students from September 25 to 29, 2024 , aimed at acclimating them to the school environment and facilitating their seamless integration into campus life. These activities not only streamline daily administrative tasks but also enhance the overall quality of talent development.

On the afternoon of September 25, 2024 a lecture entitled "First Lesson of the Semester" took place in Room 202 of Waiyu Building, featuring as an integral part of the "Study at Hechi University" series. The session covered various topics, including an introduction to the university, an overview of university rules and regulations, a comprehensive guide to living in China, scholarship policies, academic planning, mental health education, and practical tips for daily living, all aimed at facilitating the swift adaptation of new international students to campus life in China.

Following the meeting, international students participated in a campus tour which was part of the "Get to Know Hechi University" educational initiative. During the tour, they were acquainted with the university's teaching and living facilities and had the opportunity to visit several key institutions, such as History Museum, Library, Huixian Academy, Dongxi Literature Hall, as well as Fan Yiping Literature Hall.

On the morning of September 28th, a captivating"Experience China"activity was organized for new international students. They embarked on a guided tour of renowned cultural landmarks, notably the Yizhou Museum and Feng Jing Park, offering them a profound understanding of the historical tapestry of Hechi and Guangxi, while also affording them the chance to savor the immense richness and diversity of Chinese culture.

On the afternoon of September 29th, the school invited  the Higher Education Police Liaison Team from Hechi Public Security Bureau's to hold an education session tailored for international students. Director Wei Shizhong, on behalf of the Bureau, delivered an insightful session on Chinese laws and regulations, aimed at fostering a deep understanding, appreciation, and adherence to legal provisions among international students, particularly in the contexts of their personal religious activities and online behaviors.

This series of orientation activities for new international students not only furnished them with a more comprehensive understanding of the university but also heightened their safety awareness.
