The 6th Guangxi International Chinese Education Teaching Skills Competition successfully concluded at Wuzhou University from December 5th to 7th, 2025. Our School, guided by instructor Ms. Tang Mei, sent two students to participate: KYI SIN THAW (Chinese name: Zhang Xinlan), a Myanmar national, and TRUONG QUYNH ANH (Chinese name: Zhang Qiongying), a Vietnamese national, both majoring in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages in grade 2024. The competition comprised two key segments: a teaching skills demonstration and a Chinese cultural talent showcase. For the teaching segment, participants were required to design and deliver a lesson within a set time based on a randomly assigned language point. The talent segment allowed contestants to prepare in advance and present their chosen Chinese cultural performance. In this year’s contest, both of our international students delivered outstanding performances, each earning Third Prize and bringing honor to our institution. Their achievements reflect the initial outcomes of our college’s efforts in cultivating international talents within Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.
2025年12月5日至7日,第六届广西高校国际中文教育教学技能大赛在梧州学院圆满落幕。我院由唐梅老师作为指导教师带队,选派2024级汉语国际教育专业缅甸籍学生KYI SIN THAW(中文名:张欣兰)和越南籍学生TRUONG QUYNH ANH(中文名:张琼英)参赛。本次教学技能大赛分为教学技能展示和中华才艺展示2个环节。教学技能展示环节需根据赛前所抽的语言点限时完成教学设计,并进行教学展示,中华才艺展示环节可提前自选才艺进行展示。在本次大赛中,我院两名国际学生在竞赛中表现亮眼,双双荣获三等奖,为学校赢得了荣誉,初步展现了我院汉语国际教育专业国际人才培养成效。

Notably, the two contestants are among the first cohort of international undergraduates enrolled in our Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages program. As the program is still in its early stages of development, we continue to navigate challenges such as designing personalized training systems for international students and enhancing the cross-cultural teaching competencies of our faculty. Against this backdrop, their success at the provincial level is particularly commendable. This recognition not only acknowledges the students’ dedication and hard work but also serves as a significant encouragement for our school’s ongoing exploration in international Chinese education. It strengthens our confidence and resolve to further develop this field.
值得关注的是,两名参赛选手是我校招收的第一届汉语国际教育本科专业国际学生,该专业国际学生招生办学时间尚短,目前仍处于摸索前行的阶段。从国际学生个性化培养体系的搭建,到师资队伍跨文化教学能力的提升,每一项工作都存在诸多挑战。此次两位同学能够在区级赛事中脱颖而出,斩获佳绩,实属不易。这份荣誉不仅是对她们自身刻苦钻研、不懈努力的肯定,更是对我院国际中文教育国际化办学探索的极大鼓舞,更加坚定了深耕该领域的信心与决心。
Looking ahead, our school will leverage various competitions as platforms to deepen teaching reforms, strengthen faculty development, and focus on enhancing students’ comprehensive competencies and practical skills.
