From November 13 to 15, 2025, the 4th Guangxi International Students Chinese Character Dictation Competition and Chinese Cultural Experience Event was successfully held at the Yucai Campus of Guangxi Normal University. The event was organized by the Foreign Student Education Management Professional Committee of Guangxi Higher Education Association and hosted by the National Language and Character Promotion Base (Guangxi Normal University) and the School of International Culture and Education at Guangxi Normal University. Teachers and student representatives from various universities across Guangxi gathered in Guilin to experience the charm of Chinese culture through the medium of Chinese characters. Our school selected three international students to participate: KYI SIN THAW (Chinese name: Zhang Xinlan) from Myanmar, TRUONG QUYNH ANH (Chinese name: Zhang Qiongying) from Vietnam, and NGONGO MASIMANGO EDDY (Chinese name: Nuo Man) from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
2025年11月13日至15日，第四届广西国际学生汉字听写大赛暨中国文化体验活动在广西师范大学育才校区顺利举行。本次活动由广西高等教育学会外国留学生教育管理专业委员会主办，国家语言文字推广基地（广西师范大学）和广西师范大学国际文化教育学院承办，来自广西各高校的师生代表齐聚桂林，以字为媒感受中华文化魅力。我院选派缅甸籍学生KYI SIN THAW（中文名：张欣兰）、越南籍学生TRUONG QUYNH ANH（中文名：张琼英）和刚果（金）籍学生NGONGO MASIMANGO EDDY（中文名：诺曼）3名国际学生参赛。
On the evening of November 13, participants were grouped according to their Chinese proficiency level, followed by intense individual competition rounds. Our contestants demonstrated solid Chinese language skills and meticulous attention to detail in their responses, fully showcasing the positive outcomes of their studies.

On November 14, following the successful opening ceremony, the team competition commenced. Teams of three students from each university competed on the same stage. The interactive segments were both tense and exciting, highlighting the participants' teamwork and extensive knowledge of Chinese characters.
11月14日，在开幕式圆满结束后，团体赛正式开启。各学校派出由3人组成的代表队同场竞技，在紧张激烈的互动环节中，充分彰显出团队协作能力与汉字储备水平。
After the competition, an awards ceremony was grandly held, where the organizing committee presented awards to the winners of both the individual and team events. Two students from our school, KYI SIN THAW (Zhang Xinlan) from Myanmar and TRUONG QUYNH ANH (Zhang Qiongying) from Vietnam, delivered outstanding performances and both received the Third Prize in the Group B individual competition.

On November 15, participating teachers and students embarked on a meaningful field visit to a red culture and rural revitalization demonstration site in Zhongfeng Town, Ziyuan County. They visited red education bases, observed the fruitful achievements of rural industrial development, and through exploration and interactive exchanges, gained a profound understanding of the immense power of red historical heritage. They witnessed firsthand the dynamic practices of China's rural revitalization strategy. This unique cultural experience activity guided international students beyond the traditional classroom, allowing them to further deepen their understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture through personal experience and practical engagement, thereby strengthening their emotional connection with China.
11月15日，参赛师生一行前往资源县中峰镇的红色文化与乡村振兴示范点，开启了一场意义非凡的实地探访之旅。他们实地走访红色教育基地，认真观察乡村产业发展的丰硕成果，于漫步探寻与互动交流间，深切体悟红色历史传承的磅礴力量，亲眼见证中国乡村振兴战略的鲜活实践。这场别具一格的文化体验活动，引领国际学生走出传统课堂，在亲身体验与实际操作中，进一步加深了他们对中国文化的理解与认同，让他们与中国的情感纽带愈发紧密。

At this year’s competition, our international students performed excellently, securing two Third Prizes in the individual events. This activity held significant meaning. It served not only as a concentrated and vivid demonstration of our school's Chinese teaching achievements but also skillfully used Chinese characters as a bridge for emotion and cultural exchange.
